Jie Fu, PH.D., Joins JPSA Laser Applications Engineering Team

Manchester, New Hampshire, USA – Dr. Jie Fu, a skilled laser applications engineer specializing in ultra-fast solid-state laser systems technology, has joined the Applications Engineering Group at J P Sercel Associates. Dr. Fu earned his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Optics from the College of Optics and Photonics: CREOL & FPCE, University of Central Florida, Orlando. His dissertation research employed ultra-fast laser systems to study the non-linear optical properties of novel materials especially semiconductor and organic molecules. In his research, he discovered record levels of two-photon absorption. Dr. Jie Fu earned his B.S. degree in Optical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R. China.
